this single-origin hojicha has been sourced from a tea farm in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. hojicha is an oven roasted tea powder that can be used like matcha. it is low caffeine, about only 7-20 mg per serving (up to 20 times less caffeinated than standard matcha)! this makes it ideal for enjoying any time of day. yame hojicha has delightfully toasted flavor similar to the earthiness of cocoa, chicory, or carob.

* we recommend trying it iced over almond or soy milk, sweetened with agave, maple, or honey. combine with a serving of chai to create a hojicha chai!
